At First Baptist Church of Lomita we understand that the only way to "know God" as Jesus says in John 17:3, "have our path illuminated" as David talks about in Psalm 119:105, and be "instructed in righteousness" as Paul writes in 2nd Timothy 3:16-17 is through the study of God's Holy Word.

Friday Night Schedule Updates

We will be changing our Friday night schedule to:

1st and 3rd Fridays of the month at 6:00 PM - Bible Question & Answer Time

2nd and 4th Fridays of the month at 6:00 PM - Prayer Time


Friday Psalm Sing and Fellowship Time

On Friday, February 24th, 2023, at 7 PM, we will have a joint Psalm Sing and Fellowship Time with Liberty Baptist Church - Norwalk.

Join us in the FBC Lomita sanctuary at 7 PM for a time of singing the Psalms and dessert fellowship to follow in Miller (fellowship) Hall .


Building Dedication and Fellowship Meal

On Sunday, February 12th, 2023 at the 11:00 AM service we will have guest preacher, Pastor Max Graves from Liberty Baptist Church - Norwalk.

Immediately following the service we will be dedicating our Fellowship Hall to our late Pastor Jim Miller who faithfully ministered the gospel at First Baptist Church of Lomita for 37 years, until he went to be with the Lord.

We will have a potluck fellowship meal, immediately following in our newly dedicated Miller Hall.


Bible Question and Answer Time

We will continue having our Bible Question & Answer Times every other Friday at 6:00 PM.

We are taking a break onFriday, February 3rd, 2023.

We will resumeon Friday, February 17th, 2023.


New Year's Eve Fellowship and Prayer Meeting

On Saturday, December 31st, 2022 from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM, we will have a New Year's Eve Fellowship and Prayer Meeting. It will be an opportunity to fellowship and ring in the new year with prayer and praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
